Review Snap Shot Adapter for EL 10x32 Binoculars / Swarovski:

Taking photos through binoculars! Swarovski Optik's "Snap Shot Adapter" forms the link between a binocular and a digital camera resulting in clearly focused snapshots at long range. Perfect for nature observation, for outdoor activities and as a traveling companion. Until now it has only been possible to take digital photographs of what is observed through binoculars with either a lot of time or a lot of luck. Now all that has changed. The Snap Shot Adapter, developed by Swarovski Optik, is an ergonomic and sophisticated little ring which turns the binocular into an objective lens. Using this "trick" it is possible to capture, in extraordinary pinpoint detail and over huge distances, moments which would otherwise be irretrievably lost. All that is necessary for long-distance snapshots, in addition to the appropriate Snap Shot Adapter, is a Swarovski EL or SLC binocular and a digital camera with an extendable optical zoom. Setting up requires just a few small movements â the Snap Shot Adapter is centered on the camera's extended lens by turning the control disk and is then pushed onto the binocular's twist-in eyecup, which has been twisted out to receive it. What happens next is fast and smooth. All you have to do is simply hold the camera to the adapter because every fraction of a second counts if the snapshot is to be successful. [+]
Using a supporting surface or a tripod makes for even sharper and more precise photos. As the Snap Shot Adapter is designed as a centering aid and not as a holding device, you can switch rapidly and flexibly between observing and taking photos although it is essential that you always have the camera's handle looped around your wrist for safety. Fits EL 10x32 binoculars.

Review Minox 8x24 Porro Prism Binocular (Black) 62001B / MINOX 62001B:

Porro binoculars from MINOX the ideal companion for every field of nature observation. The Porro prism offers clear advantages over roof prisms, especially the higher light transmission, as less light is lost in the optical path through reflection, on the way to the eye. Nevertheless, this design has been somewhat neglected over recent years. The use of Porro prisms always implies increased weight and comparatively larger dimensions of the binoculars. As a specialist for the miniaturization of optical equipment MINOX has been able to develop compact Porro binoculars minimizing these familiar weak points and maximizing the strong ones. Only binoculars fitted with Porro prisms are able to provide the user with an enhanced three-dimensional shape or 3D-effect of the object in view, this being based on the increased objective lens spacing. With this almost three-dimensional imaging it is a lot easier to exactly estimate the position and distance of the objects in the field of view - something hunters or those practicing water sports will rate very highly. Besides this, the short and compact design offers clear-cut advantages in handling, particularly when every second counts.
