These precision 90-degree star diagonals feature fully coated prisms, delivering superior image fidelity. Housings are black-anodized aluminum (except #8787, plastic) with thumbscrew to secure the eyepiece in place. Each diagonal, except for the correct-image model, produces an image that' s right-side up and reversed left to right. 1. 25" Correct-Image Star Diagonal This 90-degree diagonal yields correctly oriented images (right-side up and nonreversed). It' s perfect for terrestrial use or for amateur astronomers who want a view that matches the orientation of a star chart. Requires no extra focus travel.

For terrestrial viewing with a refractor or Cassegrain telescope, use of a correct-image (or "image erecting") diagonal is desirable. The resulting image will appear upright and nonreversed. Diagonals are not recommended for use in reflector telescopes. Note: the #7216 45-degree correct-image diagonal requires 5/8" more focus travel than typical diagonals.
