Review Celestron Eyepiece Filter Set 1-1/4 (23A,38A,58,ND-50) / Celestron 94119-30:

Celestron offers four convenient filter sets, which contain four different filters per set. Not only are these highly useful filter combinations, but they also offer an economical way to add versatility to your filter collection. Celestron's filters are made of high quality, solid plane parallel glass with excellent homogeneity. They're anti-reflection coated to prevent glaring and ghosting. All eyepiece filters are threaded to fit Celestron's, and most other manufacturer's, 1¼" eyepieces, and offer a full 26mm clear aperture. #23A Light Red 25% T [Series 3] All observing information for this filter is the same as that given for the #25 filter, with the exception of the following: Mars - Reduces light from blue and green areas which darkens the maria, oases and canal markings, while lightening the orange-hued desert regions. Sharpens the boundaries of yellow dust clouds. Comets - Improves definition of comet dust tails. #38A Blue 17% T [Series 3] Moon - Enhance lunar detail. Jupiter - Enhance the boundaries between the reddish belts and adjacent bright zones. [+]
Useful for viewing the Great Red Spot. Mars - Very useful during the violet clearing. Helpful in studying surface features and polar caps. Mercury - Improve observation of dusky surface markings at twilight, when the planet is near the horizon. Saturn - Enhance low-contrast features between the belts and zones. Venus - Useful for increased contrast of dark shadings in upper Venusian cloud.

Review Celestron 94139 Solar Filter for PS127, SLT 130, AM 130 / Celestron 94139:

Celestron Solar Filters are made with Baader Astro Solar Safety Film. Far superior than any existing glass, Mylar or polymer filters, they lead to brighter, sharper, and higher contrast images. Enter the millennium with the finest solar filters available. Astro Solar Safety Film is clear and homogenous and attains the optical performance of high quality plane-parallel glass filters-it is diffraction limited! Double-sided metal coatings have uniform density and good color balance across the entire field ensuring razor sharp images from edge to edge. The Sun appears in its "real "color -neutral white, not blue or orange ,and the sky adjacent to the solar limb is jet black. You can see detail in sunspots, bright faculae near the limb and the mottled areas known as granules with these filters. The Sun offers constant changes and will keep your observing interesting and fun. Even small aperture telescopes can enjoy features of the Sun. The Astro Solar film is completely safe and durable (won't break like glass if dropped). Its rating is ND-5 which means that the film transmits 1/100,000 of visible light (. [+]
001%) while reflecting (blocking) 99. 999%of unwanted light. The film absorbs all ultraviolet rays while coating reflects infrared light rendering both absolutely harmless. For added assurance, Baader Astro Solar film has been declared safe for direct solar viewing by the German National Bureau of Standards for eye safety. Celestron has previousl.

  • Model: Celestron 93624 Narrowband Oxygen III 2 Filter

Review Celestron 93624 Narrowband Oxygen III 2 Filter / Celestron 93624:

The OIII narrowband filter isolates just the two doubly-ionized oxygen lines (496 and 501nm lines) emitted by planetary and emission nebulae, while blocking the rest of the overall spectrum of light. The result is extreme contrast between the black sky background and the faint photons of OIII light needed for detailed views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent and Orion nebulae, among other objects. Each filter has an ultra hard, vacuum-deposited coating carefully designed to block all of the visual spectrum ranging from 400 to 700 nm. This eliminates the un-natural colored halos surrounding bright stars common with O III filters of less sophisticated coating technology. The Celestron 93624 Narrowband Oxygen III 2-inch filter is a remarkable advance for the serious visual observer of emission nebulae. One of the biggest advantages of narrowband filters is that by passing only the light emitted by nebulae, light from artificial sources like street lights is blocked. This allows you to take detailed exposures of nebulas from a suburban location that can rival shots from much darker sites. The Celestron 93624 is made of high quality, solid plane parallel glass.

  • Model: Orion Variable Polarizing Filter, 1.25"

Review Orion Variable Polarizing Filter, 1.25" / Orion OR-5560:

This versatile filter acts like a dimmer switch for your telescope, toning down the brightness of the Moon or planets to a level that is comfortable. The reduction in brightness and glare unmasks detail in your viewing subject and greatly improves contrast. The filter consists of two high-grade glass polarizing filters in a rotating cell that allows you to adjust the amount of light transmission from 1% to 40%. Such control is highly desirable for lunar observing because the Moon's brightness varies with its phase. The filter is great for terrestrial observing too, especially on sunny days. The filter has an anodized aluminum cell, which threads into the barrel of any standard eyepiece. Now available in 1. 25" and 2" sizes. Storage case included.

Indistinct features suddenly become distinct! Orion color filters are made from high-grade Schott optical glass and vat-dyed for even color coating, and then given an anti-reflection coating. Their anodized aluminum cells are double-threaded to permit filter stacking and are labeled with their Wratten filter number. Available in 1. 25" and 2" sizes.

Review Orion Solar Filters(2) for GiantView 100mm / ORION:

Who said you have to be in the dark to do astronomy! Turning your telescope to the Sun is fun and educational. Watch the march of giant sunspots, the clouds of glowing vapor in the photosphere, and solar "granulation" detail. But be sure to protect your precious vision with safe Orion solar filters! Looking at the Sun without one, even for an instant, can permanently damage your eyes. Superior to Mylar These full-aperture optical glass filters deliver superb views of the Sun, without risk to your eyes. While more expensive than Mylar filters, Orion solar filters provide better contrast, a more natural yellow-orange â color rather than blue â and are more durable. They're ideal for photographing the Sun too. The glass elements are machine-polished and triple-coated with an advanced nickel-chromium stainless steel alloy for a scratch-resistant surface. The filter passes only a fraction of the incoming light, rejecting harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation. Each filter is mounted in an aluminum cell that slide-fits over the objective lenses of the binoculars.
