Review Kendrick 1.25" Laser Collimator, for 1.25" Focusers / Kendrick:Kendrick makes Collimators that can be used with Newtonian and Dobs. The Standard laser #2063 has a 45 degree face so that they extend out from the bottom of all but the longest focusers (Newtonian). This allows the collimator face to be easily viewed from the bottom of your Scope when adjusting the collimation screws. Instructions, and a gummed paper ring for Newtonian primary mirror are included with each unit. The laser is a class IIIA, 650 nm laser diode of less than 5 milli watts. It is considered safe for consumer use, but you should avoid letting the beam enter your eye, directly or after reflection from a mirror. It is OKAY to look at the scattered light from the red spots where the beam hits the mirrors. The collimators take two AAA batteries (included). There is a one year Kendrick warranty for defects in materials and workmanship on the collimators. |
