Review Tele Vue Bandmate Nebustar UHC 1.25" Eyepiece Filter. / Tele Vue:

Bandmate filters yield bright, sharp and contrasty images - even in the optically sensitive position in front of the diagonal. Optical glass and red filtering allows for sharp and bright views of nebulae with embedded star clusters - such as the Lagoon Nebula (M8).
Tele Vue PMT2200
Tele Vue PMT2200
Weight: 1.4 pounds
List Price: $375.00
Price: $295.00
Key features Tele Vue PMT2200
  • Vignetting, edge field aberrations and pupil movement - all introduced when using Barlows with long focal length eyepieces, are minimized.
  • High performance for image amplification, CCD or film (some of the finest Earth-based planetary imaging is being done with Powermates).
  • Higher magnifications are possible with high optical performance compared to "doubling up" Barlows.
  • Telecentric operation (field rays leave parallel to optical axis, unlike Barlow lenses which diverge rays). This is ideal for Hydrogen-alpha filter use such as with Daystar models.
  • Flexible for visual and imaging with all types of telescopes and eyepieces. Essentially Parfocal, and with nearly constant magnification regardless of image distance behind top surface (except 5x model which increases 1x for every 35mm of image distance increase).
  • Model: Tele Vue 2x Powermate, 2" Image Amplifier

Review Tele Vue 2x Powermate, 2" Image Amplifier / Tele Vue PMT2200:

This model is nearly parfocal (unlike the Big Barlow / Interface combination), so it can be effectively used in our 2" diagonals. Its performance is excellent with every 1¼" or 2" eyepiece we make (yes, even the 31 Nagler Type 5!). Both the 2" eyepiece holder and the special 2"-1¼" low-profile adapter use brass clamp rings for secure, non-marring operation. And it also has a very unique feature: you can unscrew the 2" eyepiece housing and screw on a special T-ring adapter for solid, compact attachment of CCD or camera equipment.

Review Tele Vue Sky Tour Computer. / Tele Vue:

The Sky Tour object locator adds "brains" to the Gibraltar Mount's brawn. With its exclusive Lorenzin 2000+ database and refinements such as backlit button names, 10 character smooth scrolling display and advanced "identify" capability, Sky Tour brings the hand-held computer to a high feature/ performance level - a Tele Vue level of convenience and ease of use. When Sky Tour is added to Tele Vue mounts, the total system is simple enough to encourage beginners, yet deep enough for experts to maintain a lifetime of observing enthusiasm. The System begins with the Sky Tour computer. Its library of over 2000 objects and their locations are fed to the rock-solid Gibraltar Mount which similarly transmits information back to the Sky Tour. Cradled by the Gibraltar, the telescope firmly sits, waiting to be guided to your selected object. Once you have found your object, the Starbeam sighting instrument shows you exactly where your telescope is pointed in the sky. For referencing an object's position or for "star-hopping" without the Sky Tour, Starbeam's red star" points the way. The Sky Tour Observing System is complete with easy to follow set-up, operating and database guides and is topped off with a FREE copy of The Deep Sky Observer's Guide by Phil Harrington. Guide to Deep Sky Observing which includes a complete star atlas. [+]
More than just a star chart Iisting, Tom Lorenzin's 2000+ database is a collection of interesting and observable double and.

  • Model: Tele Vue 2" Everbrite Mirror Star (90°) Diagonal with Brass Clamp Ring - Short Front Tube.

Review Tele Vue 2" Everbrite Mirror Star (90°) Diagonal with Brass Clamp Ring - Short Front Tube. / Tele Vue:

This Version utilizes the same construction as the 2" Everbrite Diagonal #DPC-2002, except for the shorter front. This new "short front" Diagonal was designed to allow more "through fork" motion when used with the new ACS-0004 Short tube Schmidt Cassegrain Adapter. This Diagonal can also be used in any other 2" Diagonal application as well. However the Standard 2" Everbrite Diagonal (DPC-2002) provides increased locking stability in non SCT applications Important notes for users of f/6. 3 SCT Reducers 1) The ACS-0004 & DPS-2004 combination may also be used with f/6. 3 SCT focal reducers, permitting larger fields of view with 2" eyepieces. However, the additional physical length of the f/6. 3 reducer means the ACS-0004 & DPS-2004 combination will no longer pass through the fork arms of some SCT's 2) With the extra path length of the 2" Diagonal, the f/6. 3 converter will actually produce an f/5. 5 system. [+]
This combination works well with the Tele Vue 27mm Panoptic, yielding a 1. 5 ° true field of view with a C-8. Note that longer focal length 2" eyepieces may vignette severely. Also, some eyepieces (such as 2" Naglers) may not reach focus with this combination due to their shorter path length. 3) When the 2" diagonal is used with 1¼" eyepieces, the Tele Vue 2" Converter Adapter (CEA-2125, Adorama SKU #TVA21QC) should be used to assure that focus is reached.
