Review Tele Vue Panoramic Mount with Walnut Tripod Legs. / Tele Vue WPT4012:

For more rigidity under heavier loads, Tele Vue took the Tele-Pod head and adapted it to their fine long standing Panoramic tripod. Since the Sky Tour encoder attachment points are within the head itself, for the first time, the Panoramic mount is Sky Tour capable. The Panoramic Mount is available in solid ash or beautiful walnut wood with brass fittings. It places the scope from approximately 3 to 5 feet high. Metal ground spikes with rubber tips are provided. A central tray adds rigidity and a convenient place for accessories. Supporting your telescope isn't enough, cradle it! Within a Tele Vue yoke and cradle head, your telescope balances at its center of gravity, seemingly "weightless" as you move about the sky. Bearing surfaces of brass, anodized aluminum, and teflon provide the smooth feel needed for accurate movements. For the Tele-Pod and Panoramic mounts, a foam covered handle (not shown) attached to the cradle provides ideal leverage. Tele Vue Alt/Az tripods complement the travel-friendly, easy setup nature of Tele Vue scopes. [+]
Alt/Az motions are far less cumbersome for visual observing compared to equatorial mounts, and the eyepiece position always remains conveniently upright. There are no counterweights or awkward parts to manage. And, with Sky Tour, electronic setting circles can be added to these mounts. The mount heads are predrilled for easy installation of our Sky Tour Encoder Kits. Or, order your Gibraltar and Panoramic Mounts with the S.

Review Starry Night BlueStar Adapter for Orion IntelliScope / STARRY NIGHT:

Now you can command your computerized telescope from your laptop wirelessly. The BlueStar adapter eliminates the RS-232 cable that normally connects the telescope and computer, giving you enhanced range and freedom of movement. BlueStar works with most computerized telescopes, allowing wireless control using the dynamic graphical interface of Starry Night Pro or similar astronomy software on your computer. The adapter plugs into the hand controller's RS-232 port and has a range of up to 30 ft. It requires a Bluetooth-enabled computer (or an inexpensive Bluetooth module, available at computer stores) running Windows XP or Mac OS X. Included are BlueStar adapter, CD-ROM with driver software, installation card, and cable for your specific telescope. Requires two AA batteries (not included). Note: Starry Night BlueStar Adapter #24041 does not work with ETX 70 or other Meade telescopes that use the 494 Autostar Controller.
