Review Tele Vue Starbeam with Flip Mirror - Universal Base. / Tele Vue:

Starbeam's unique flip mirror feature provides comfort and flexibility for viewing straight through and 90°. Viewed straight through, you see the natural sky with a 10 arc-minute (1/3 Moon dia. ) "red-star" showing your scope's position. When your scope is pointed high, flip the mirror into position for more comfortable viewing. The size, color and adjustable brightness of the "red-star" makes it easy to see against any twilight to dark sky background. With its 39mm aperture, the projected image is easily seen any distance behind Starbeam, whether 2 inches or 2 feet! The finely made glass lens acts as a beamsplitter to combine the natural sky background with the superimposed red pointing "star. " The first lens surface acts as a collimating mirror so the "red-star" stays stationary against the sky background regardless of your eye position. A compensating curve is designed into the second lens surface to provide the normal sky background view and is multi-coated to eliminate double images. Elegant in design and form, Starbeam is custom machined completely from aluminum and then black anodized, even down to the "push-pull" thumb screws. No tools are required to align Starbeam with your telescope. [+]
Two base channels are available, one for Tele Vue telescopes (except Ranger) and one for scopes of 4" or larger tubes. Mounting hardware included.

  • Model: Tele Vue Bino-Vue with New 2x Amplifier

Review Tele Vue Bino-Vue with New 2x Amplifier / Tele Vue:

A limitation in viewing the sky is a lack of binocular viewing. Open both eyes & see the dramatic improvement in resolution, contrast, faint star detection, viewing comfort, & an illusion of depth. Open your eyes & mind to BinoVue. The advantages of a binocular attachment that adjusts interpupilary distance like an ordinary binocular & sets up as easily as changing an eyepiece. The in-line viewing arrangement allows interocular adjustment without focus shift. It uses the largest prism apertures possible. BinoVue, engineered to an optical elimination of its 5. 1" path length to allow use on any telescope. The special compensator lens system makes BinoVue parfocal when fully inserted to its stop & results in only a 2x increase in magnification. The compensator lens corrects for prism effects that can degrade high power viewing. [+]
For short focal length scopes such as Pronto, TeleVue-85 & 101, the 2x amplification results in low powers down in the 30x range. Even larger instruments will find BinoVue extremely versatile. 13. 5" f/4. 5 Dobsonain, would have a low power limit of 96x with a pair of 32mm Plossls. SCTs have enough focus travel using BinoVue without the compensator. For any scope that can accept BinoVue's 5. 1" of path length, also included an empty tube to install in place of the amplifier assembly. Each one is collimation & image quality are tested. This time & labor intensive operation is esse.

Review Kendrick Dew Remover Heater for Celestron C11, & Tubes from 12.5" to 13.5" OD (310mm to 340mm) / Kendrick:

The Kendrick Dew Remover System is centered around the standard controller, which is required for activating the heater. (not included) The heaters have been built to use only as much power as necessary and thereby not waste energy. They have sponge insulation on one side to prevent heat being lost into the atmosphere. The heat is directed into the optics instead and because of this, less energy is needed to keep your optics moisture free. The heaters wrap around your objectives, label side out and are held in place by elastic/Velcro attachments. (Telrad heaters are held in place with an elastic band. The heaters for secondary mirrors are placed on the backside of the secondary and can be held in place by using the polyester batting found inside the secondary mirror holder. The. 965", 1. 25" and 2" are considered eyepiece heaters. [+]
