Review Tele Vue Digital Camera Adapter 49mm for the Radian Eyepieces. / Tele Vue DRA0049:

Tele Vue digital camera adapters allow solid, accurate attachment of digital cameras to appropriate Tele Vue eyepieces for "afocal" imaging. "Afocal" means collimated light between the telescope eyepiece and camera lens. To minimize vignetting and maximize image quality, we suggest using the following Tele Vue eyepieces, as their long eye relief best matches the internal pupil of the camera lens; 40mm, 32mm Plossls, 35mm, 27mm Panoptics, 22mm, 17mm, and 12mm Nagler type 4, 31mm Nagler type 5 and all Radian focal lengths. Radian eyepieces require the adapter included with DRA-XXXX models. Overall, we found the 35mm Panoptic achieves the least vignetting in afocal applications. One more thing to note is that because camera pupils move with zooming, you may find minimum vignetting at the extremes of zoom positions. Results will vary depending on the camera used. Not shown in above photo, all adapters include 3 small thumb screws for easy use without tools.

  • The SkyGlow filter enhances deep-sky observing in moderately light-polluted skies
  • 1.25" filter
  • SkyGlow improves the views of nebulas, galaxies and clusters
  • It blocks the most common wavelengths of light pollution for increased contrast and better views
  • Model: Orion SkyGlow Broadband Filter, 1.25"

Review Orion SkyGlow Broadband Filter, 1.25" / ORION:

Our SkyGlow is an advanced multilayer "interference" filter designed to enhance deep-sky observing in moderately light-polluted skies. It blocks the most common wavelengths of light pollution - predominantly produced by mercury vapor lamps - and allows higher transmission of critical hydrogen-alpha and hydrogen-beta lines. Bright, light-polluted skies appear much darker in the field of view and contrast significantly enhanced, particularly emission nebulas like the Orion and Lagoon. Views of galaxies and clusters are also improved. Available in 1. 25" and 2"and as a thread-on for rear cells of Schmidt-Cassegrains.

Key features Tele Vue PMT5126
  • High performance for image amplification, CCD or film (some of the finest Earth-based planetary imaging is being done with Powermates).
  • Flexible for visual and imaging with all types of telescopes and eyepieces. Essentially Parfocal, and with nearly constant magnification regardless of image distance behind top surface (except 5x model which increases 1x for every 35mm of image distance increase).
  • Vignetting, edge field aberrations and pupil movement - all introduced when using Barlows with long focal length eyepieces, are minimized.
  • Latest Version, Accepets the T-Ring Adapter
  • Telecentric operation (field rays leave parallel to optical axis, unlike Barlow lenses which diverge rays). This is ideal for Hydrogen-alpha filter use such as with Daystar models.
  • Model: Tele Vue 5x Powermate Barlow lens 1.25" - T Ring Adaptable

Review Tele Vue 5x Powermate Barlow lens 1.25" - T Ring Adaptable / Tele Vue PMT5126:

Tele Vue Barlows: "An Optically Perfect Window " Properly designed Barlows do wonderful things. First, they amplify power while retaining the eyepiece's eye-relief. Second, they slow the telescope's f/#, which improves eyepiece sharpness. Third, the designer can introduce compensations for eyepiece aberrations. The 2. 5X Powermate Barlow is a 4-element parfocal, compact amplifying lens system. POWERMATE consists of a negative achromatic doublet plus a positive "pupil-correcting" doublet. While it looks and functions like a Barlow, your eyepiece will operate with pupil locations where the designer intended, avoiding mismatch problems. POEWRMATE optimally mates its power to your eyepieces. No additional "interface lens" is needed, since POWERMATES have it built-in. [+]
In addition to full multi-coating, POWERMATE includes other Tele Vue special touches such as a safety undercut on the chrome barrell, and captive lock screws that can't fall out. Tele Vue's 100% QC program at f/4 insures that POWERMATE will add dramatic power (and NOTHING ELSE) to your favorite eyepieces. If, for example, you own a 22mm Panoptic, you'll have the power of an 8. 8mm focal length eyepiece with the 2. 5x POWERMATE. The POWERMATES are constructed to be parfocal with Tele Vue's 1-1/4" 90 degree diagonal (often used in Ranger telescopes) adding convenience not previously available with any Barlow. The 2. 5X POWERMATE has no filter threads Dobsonian/Ne.

  • Model: Orion Helical Fine-Focusing Adapter

Review Orion Helical Fine-Focusing Adapter / ORION:

Focusing at high magnification with a standard rack-and-pinion focuser can be a real challenge. The focuser action is coarse, making it hard to nail the exact focus point. This precision-machined adapter makes fine focusing a breeze. It replaces the 2"-to-1. 25" eyepiece adapter in scopes equipped with a 2" focuser, allowing very fine helical focusing with just a feather touch. Critical focus is easier to achieve, and images stay steadier. Features dual rubber grip rings and setscrew lock. Works with 1. 25" eyepieces. Requires at least 9mm inward focus travel.

Product Features Description The Digital Concepts 2x teleconverter (also known as a tele-extender) will multiply the focal length of the existing lens by 2x, and will cut back the amount of light by 2 f/stops. This precision optical accessory, which is compatible with your Nikon SLR camera, allows you to increase the focal length of your lens without sacrificing optical quality. For example, using a 2x teleconverter with a 300mm lens will effectively increase the focal length to 600mm. A lens set to f/2. 8 will now be f/5. 6. It also reduce depth of field to the 50% of the master lens.
