Review Orion 6.3mm HighLight Plossl 1.25" Eyepiece / ORION:

Orion HighLight Plossls is our exclusive, premium line of 1. 25" Plossl eyepieces with some noteworthy enhancements. HighLight eyepieces offer a generous 52-degree field of view (43-degree for the 40mm) and crisp, sharp images. The HighLights' 4-element optics are fully multi-coated - every air-to-glass lens surface is multi-layer coated for the highest possible light transmission and better contrast. The lens edges are blackened for additional contrast enhancement. The machined aluminum housings of the HighLight Plossls sport a distinctive anodized finish, with grip traction knurled right into the metal. Supple rubber eyeguards shield out extraneous light and fold down for eyeglass wearers. The barrels of HighLight Plossls are precision-machined to a tolerance of +/- 0. 05mm from the nominal specification, so you can be sure of a great fit in your diagonal or focuser. And of course they are internally threaded to accept filters.

With Dew Zapper Pro you'll never again have to quit an observing or imaging session because dew clouded up your optics. A 10-amp fuse in the control module prevents any mishaps from electrical surges or reversed polarity. And unlike competing dew-prevention systems, the Dew Zapper Pro's heating bands have right-angle cable connections to reduce cable strain and provide a tighter fit. Hook-and-loop fasteners hold the bands snugly around your instrument and accessories. Each heating band comes with a 6'-long cable that plugs into the control module via an RCA-type connector. Removable caps are included to protect any unused ports from exposure to the elements. The control module also has an auxiliary 12-volt port, which allows you to power any 12-volt accessory directly from the module.

  • Doubles the power of any 1.25 inch eyepiece
  • One-year limited warranty
  • Provides higher contrast and glare reduction
  • Internally baffled (not just painted black inside) to block transmission of off-axis light
  • Model: Orion Deluxe 2x Barlow Lens, 1.25"

Review Orion Deluxe 2x Barlow Lens, 1.25" / ORION:

A good barlow needs good optics, but good optics alone aren' t enough. Unlike many barlows, ours are internally baffled, rather than simply painted black inside, to block transmission of off-axis light. This baffling results in noticeably higher contrast when observing faint objects that are near bright stars or other sources of glare. It also helps reduce glare during daytime terrestrial observation. Each has a multi-coated, two-element achromatic lens which doubles the power of any eyepiece. Black-anodized aluminum body with eyepiece setscrew. Made in Japan.

  • Model: Orion Edge-On 27mm Flat Field Eyepiece

Review Orion Edge-On 27mm Flat Field Eyepiece / ORION:

With most eyepieces, stars look sharp in the center of the field of view, but start getting fuzzy and flared toward the edge. To get better, "flat-field" performance, you have to pay big bucks for exotic ocular designs. Not anymore. Orion Edge-On eyepieces deliver remarkably flat fields - pinpoint-sharp stars from the center to the edge of the viewing circle. And best of all, their price won't flatten your wallet! You'll be as amazed by the value as you are by the views. Their 5- or 6-element optical design eliminates field curvature for distortion-free images. And Edge-Ons are parfocal, so you can change eyepieces without refocusing. With their big eye lenses, fully multi-coated lens elements, long eye relief, generous fields of view, twist-up eyeguards, and 1. 25" barrels threaded for filters, Edge-On eyepieces have the features and quality you'll appreciate. Get the eyepieces with a flat-field edge - Orion Edge-Ons.
